Moving

She says:
By this time next week we will be moved into a new house (duplex)! We have been doing a lot to get ready--connecting utilities, address changes with all the banks/jobs/magazines/etc., finding furniture, and packing, but there is still so much to do!

Since we have been living in a "partially furnished" apartment, when we move we will be leaving behind the bed, dressers, couch, kitchen table and chairs, entertainment center, washer/dryer, and lamps (plus some ugly wall hangings and a bizarre-smelling centerpiece). So far we have had very good luck in finding furniture of our own. We found a wonderfully cheap entertainment center that is even laid out the same way as the one we have here, so we already know where everything will fit! We also got a free couch! It was a $20 couch we found on Craigslist, but the guy gave it to us for free since we went to pick it up. It is so much nicer than the $10 couch I had at Riverside because 1) it was free and 2) it actually has legs and does NOT have a weird smell that no amount of Febreeze will get rid of! We've found a couple of other great deals and we have lots of DIY projects that are going to save a ton of money and (hopefully) look great.

Even though we still have a lot to do, we are only moving 0.48 miles away (a 2 minute drive or a 9 minute walk, according to google maps), and we have the whole weekend to get it done. We'll have lots to update you on, but first we are going to be busy!
